New Performance!🥁✨

We’re incredibly excited to welcome Peaceful Forest, a Japanese taiko drumming group led by world champion taiko drummer Takumi Kato, to this year’s Cavern City Renaissance Festival!
In 2008, Takumi Kato won the Grand Prize in the Large Drum Division of the Tokyo International Taiko Contest, considered the highest honor achievable for taiko.
Since then, Takumi has performed before Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan and the Crown Prince, as well as 15+ additional national presidents and leaders. He was also the first taiko drummer ever invited to perform at the Prime Minister’s Office of Japan.

Today, he continues to share and promote Japanese traditional culture as an Enatown Tourism Ambassador and the Honorary Director of Tokiwaza Kabuki Theater, one of Gifu Prefecture’s historic kabuki theaters.
Peaceful Forest travels across the United States sharing Japanese culture through the powerful art of taiko, while promoting peace, cultural exchange, and understanding.
And they’re traveling all the way from Pennsylvania to Carlsbad, a 3,300 mile round trip!
We’re so honored that Peaceful Forest is making this incredible journey to join us, and we can’t wait for you to experience their powerful performance!

Join the Söggy Umlauts as they traverse the realm brandishing drinks, jokes, and songs at the 5th Annual Cavern City Renaissance Festival. This Viking themed raid does not fear the stormy seas or perilous singing. They welcome boasters, braggarts, and bawdy limericks. Above all, they value the camaraderie.

Come, raise your drinking horn and join the Söggy Umlauts as they host the inaugural Cavern City Renaissance Festival Tavern Crawl! A souvenir pin will be provided for all pub crawlers.
